Project: Architectural and atmospheric intervention in common areas – Lobby and Hallway

From the very first gesture at the exterior to the last step inside, this project proposes a spatial narrative that enhances the entry and circulation experience across the five towers of Mil Nueve Diez, a residential development by Cobitat in Villa Belgrano.

The scope included the design of the entrance façades, the resolution of main doors and their tactile elements: a large vertical-axis black door with two contrasting handles. On the exterior, a recessed steel circle filled with terrazzo frames the project’s icon in polished bronze; on the interior side, a simple tubular handle offers a more discreet reading of the design.

Inside, the intervention reimagines lobbies and hallways as cohesive, atmospheric spaces. Wall coverings alternate between two contrasting tones, ceilings were painted in a deep hue to create visual continuity, and tall baseboards were offset from the wall to create subtle shadows and added depth. A warm and dim lighting scheme turns daily transit into a calm, almost hotel-like experience.

Lighting elements combine recessed fixtures, circular “eclipse”-style wall lamps, and a trio of suspended rings in the central lobby—setting a sober, elegant, and subtly theatrical mood.

Custom furniture completes the project: a timeless bench, clean and sculptural, made from solid wood and black metal structure, paired with a small Carrara marble “button” table that adds both function and poetry.

This project reaffirms the idea that everyday architecture can become an experience: from the first contact with the door to the enveloping silence of the hallways, every detail was designed to make arriving feel like inhabiting.
