A light, functional collection with character
Stay Exterior is a steel furniture line designed to inhabit contemporary outdoor spaces with lightness, simplicity, and presence. Comprising chair, lounge chair, double lounge chair and stool, the collection adapts seamlessly to terraces, patios, gardens, or gastronomic spaces, offering visual and formal comfort without fuss.
Its construction system begins with a metal tube structure that, in its core morphology, recalls the carts traditionally used to carry soda crates. This initial analogy inspired not only the general shape of the backrest and legs, but also the armrests that contain and embrace the body.
Upon that structure, seat and backrest are crafted from 5 mm cold-drawn steel rods, arranged in clean, parallel curves that create surfaces both ergonomic and resistant. Despite its linear appearance, the design offers a subtly enveloping and comfortable gesture.
Technique and Materiality
Structure: SAE 1010 round tube – 3/4″ for the legs, 5/8″ for the rest of the frame.
Seat and backrest: 5 mm cold-drawn steel rods, spaced 25 mm apart.
Finishings: Clean, polished welds prior to painting; plastic end caps on the legs; baked paint suitable for outdoor use.
A light and honest presence
Its visual language — clear lines, repeated elements and an airy structure — allows the pieces to blend naturally into green, dry, coastal or urban environments. It doesn’t seek to stand out through ornament, but through constructive honesty, functional elegance and timeless character.
Use and Atmosphere
Stay is designed to last. To withstand sun, shade or rain. To be used with or without cushions. To accompany the rhythm of everyday life or the pause of an afternoon among friends. Its solid structure and sharp lines contrast beautifully with the warmth of the setting and the people who use it.
This is a collection that coexists well with other materials — rustic floors or smooth surfaces, metal or wooden tables. It can work alone or in groups. It doesn’t need to raise its voice to make itself heard
